Some people are well provided for and perhaps a little bored.

Outrage over genuine wrongs should be compulsory, but Dale Evan's somewhat odd choice of imagery for his humour doesn't quite make the grade as a wrong. More of a fashion error, really.Steve Withershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04221815213521767405noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8442430064359197279.post-48538378387310427322008-06-05T09:24:00.000+12:002008-06-05T09:24:00.000+12:00At last, this luddite has managed to manoevre her ...At last, this luddite has managed to manoevre her way into leaving a comment. Good blog too, by the way.
I think the reason why taking offence has become a national hobby is because life is so sweet. There's nothing else to worry about when the cars are washed, and the lawns are mowed. We take offence at everything - with government sanction, if you look at the way the Race Relations Commissioner has taken offence on behalf of all Pacific Island people because the DomPost had the temerity to publish news of the Massey guy's discussion paper. Joris clearly has not enough to do, just like God's Waiting Room on the Kapiti Coast.Deborah Coddingtonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04868049162529872594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8442430064359197279.post-46731404065232097052008-06-04T12:10:00.000+12:002008-06-04T12:10:00.000+12:00As a 'younger' Kapiti resident I just thought "Eva...As a 'younger' Kapiti resident I just thought "Evans is being a idiot again" and ignored it. Mayors don't get re-elected by ignoring the public though and like it ot not a big part of the community out here are older (?) people who seem to like to complain about all sorts of stuff. As you say there are big infrastructure issues but also social issues of a historic 'retirement' area now having a lot of family aged people moving into a community that seems resistent to change.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
