Wilson...meh, disappointing these days & another I've abandoned.Hilary Taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00240590567749247083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8442430064359197279.post-23340505627412560992019-08-26T16:08:58.866+12:002019-08-26T16:08:58.866+12:00Ardern has been politically savvy to stay out of t...Ardern has been politically savvy to stay out of the Ihumatao fracas, rightly seeing any further intervention from her as a lose-lose scenario. If she had sided with the activists she would have effectively legitimised further claims against privately-owned land whilst also white-anting the Waitangi Tribunal's role plus antagonising a lot of middle NZ political support. Alternatively, if she had promoted the rule-of-law and backed having the protesters removed, it would have galvanised a more widespread protest and become her "seabed and foreshore" moment. She has been a cool head on this. Not so the SJW wing of the Greens. Davidson, Ghahraman, Logie and Swarbrick have once again shown themselves to be vacuous, slogan-chanting, "rent-an-activists". As for Simon Wilson, over the last 18 months I have taken an intense dislike to his unhinged opinions. As a 60 something journalist, he certainly has developed skill with wordcraft and building a readable, superficially reasonable story - the problem lies with his blinkered approach to facts which don't fit his ideologically-driven narratives. Wokeness doesn't sit well with his carefully-manicured elder-statesman identity.khrusthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07205236386273808326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8442430064359197279.post-6309716621458386442019-08-24T14:44:59.250+12:002019-08-24T14:44:59.250+12:00You are not hard enough on Simon Bridges, Karl. Simon Bridges mindlessly jumped in to criticise Ardern - simply because he thought (or DID he think?) that if on the opposition benches you must always oppose. Simon Bridges' judgements cannot be trusted.
Come on Judith Collins - make your move.

Andy Espersen, NelsonAndy Espersenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09346042069820439630noreply@blogger.com
