This is against a background of resource limitation, poor support services such as an underpaid nursing profession that is barely managing to keep its head above water by using many non-english speaking migrants, excessive costs of equipment and drugs which cannot continually be passed on to patients, insurers and taxpayers, and belligerant expectations from a population who cannot accept that medical science is not magic, that patients differ, disease presentations differ and genuine mishaps occur.
