Since his suicide, I've read about him and looked at pictures of his creations, and have come to a different conclusion — that he seemed rather the nice guy of the fashion world, well-liked, with rather a down-to-earth quiet personal life, avoiding the parties and look-at-me occasions of the celebrity world. His fashion shows were works of art, and of course very much a matter of taste. But I find a lot of them rather beautiful. He also designed beautiful much more down-to-earth clothes for women to wear in the real world.
